For my Spartan Racing FSAE team, I designed the FR4 battery baseplates to hold cells for our Traction Battery Pack (TBP) . I enjoyed balancing a design with the structural strength needed to survive race loads, validating the final design using FEA to withstand 20G vertical and 40G longitudinal accelerations.
The project concluded with a validated design ready for the next stage of development. If I continued this work, I would focus on physical testing, comparing experimental results with FEA predictions, and iterating the design to further improve its performance while expanding my engineering skills.
